"Of all our homes over the years, we have enjoyed this one the most, and by far. It is a beautiful stone house, cosy, warm, and unique in style. Perhaps what makes it so special is its setting on water's edge, among stately trees and a charming garden complete with a tranquil pond under the foliage. To live the seasons there is a unique experience..... the gathering of the geese in the fall, skating on the lake at Xmas time, the flowering of the magnolia in early spring, the return of the geese and the advent of bustling life in the summer....the herons rigidly standing watch for their prey.......the occasional beaver and muskrat, or a wandering fox in the winter......the kayakers paddling away so gracefully ..... the walks to the exotic village through the Macdonal/dJohn Abbott campus grounds.....and not least the towering cottonwood tree with its full crown of leaves despite gaping holes in its flanks..It is all like having your own little natural park to enjoy, for young and not so young alike.. We truly love this place - but at our stage of retirement we spend an increasing time away, especially during the long winter months. So the time has come to live differently in a more flexible setting ..... and let someone else enjoy this lovely corner of paradise."
